Midweek Silver Report

"Honest scales and balances belong to the LORD."
"Honest scales and balances belong to the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of His making."
— Proverbs 16:11
Silver touched $92.28 earlier this week before pulling back to $89.70. A healthy consolidation after the explosive move from the $30s. The move from $30 to $90 represents a 200% gain — taking a breath here is normal.
But the real story isn't the pullback. It's what's happening underneath.
| Metal | Price | Change | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Silver | $89.70 | -$4.27 | Consolidating |
| Gold | $4,614.40 | -$23.75 | Consolidating |
| Platinum | $2,352.80 | -$55.45 | Weak |
| Palladium | $1,834.50 | -$18.80 | Range-bound |
| Copper | $5.98 | -$0.11 | Industrial |

Paper vs Physical Divergence
The most significant development isn't the price — it's the spread between COMEX and Shanghai. Chinese silver closed at $101.50 yesterday — a $10+ premium over U.S. paper prices.
China silver: $101.50. COMEX silver: $89.70. That's an $11.80 spread — 13% premium for physical in Asia. The paper scheme is failing.
So what's the real price? Is it $89.70 on paper contracts, or $101.50 where physical actually clears? The answer tells you everything about where this market is heading.
Expert Intelligence
Bill Holter — Framework Expert #13
"The action in silver over the last three, four months — the move up to hit 50, through 60, 70, 80, 90 — that move shows that the suppression scheme is failing."
"Silver will fail to deliver probably in the March/April timeframe. When I say 'fail to deliver,' I think they're going to go force majeure. They will deliver cash instead of silver. And what that tells you is that the contracts are worthless." — Bill Holter, January 14, 2025
Holter's thesis: when silver goes force majeure, gold will follow. When contracts don't perform, traders ask "what's next?" — wheat, nickel, copper, oil. The derivatives complex — four times the size of all assets on planet Earth — begins to unwind.
The Sinclair Doctrine
"This is the rally you don't sell. This is the rally you don't try to trade. We're going to wake up one day and there's not going to be any metal available to buy. If you had sold and taken a profit, where are you? Sitting in Federal Reserve notes without the ability to get back into silver or gold." — Jim Sinclair (via Bill Holter)
Framework Expert Consensus
What The Experts Are Saying
The framework tracks 30 experts. Twenty are now profiled. The consensus is unanimous: the paper suppression scheme is in its final phase. Physical demand is overwhelming paper supply. The transfer from West to East accelerates.
The Japanese Carry Trade
Holter flagged an underreported connection: the Japanese carry trade is unwinding, and some of that capital was used to suppress gold and silver prices.
The Mechanism: Borrowers took cheap yen, bought assets (including short positions in metals). As yen rates rise and the trade unwinds, they must buy back those metal positions. They've already sold — now they have to buy. That's impetus for much higher prices.
Japanese 10-year yields at 3.50% and climbing. The carry trade that funded a generation of paper games is reversing. Only the Lord knows where prices settle when the paper markets finish burning.
GSR Strategy Alert
At 51.4:1, we are one tick from the 50:1 swap threshold. Per Holter's recommendation:
Silver-to-Gold Swap Strategy
If you're 70%+ silver as recommended, prepare your swap calculations now. You'll end up with more gold ounces than if you bought gold outright. The ratio compression is the transfer mechanism.
Covenant Perspective
Why "Covenant Silver"? Because honest weights and measures are a covenant principle — not merely a financial preference. Silver and gold have served as honest money for millennia precisely because they cannot be conjured from nothing by decree.
They are real in a world increasingly dominated by the artificial.
The fiat system is a system of dishonest weights. Every dollar printed dilutes every dollar held. The Federal Reserve note in your wallet weighs the same but buys less — a weight that changes without changing. This is the abomination Proverbs condemns.
Silver and gold cannot be printed. They must be found, mined, refined. Their weight is their value. Honest money for honest people.
Action Items
GSR at 51:1: Prepare your swap strategy. If 70%+ silver, identify amounts for 50:1, 40:1, 30:1 conversions.
Pullbacks are gifts: A $4 pullback from highs is opportunity, not crisis. Stack accordingly.
Watch premiums: Check LCS and online dealers. Premium compression = buying opportunity.
This is NOT the rally you sell: Per Sinclair doctrine — we may wake up one day with no metal available. Stay positioned.
"What is a contract worth if it cannot perform? The answer is zero. The real price is determined where physical clears — not where paper trades."
